Thank you Kristine and Adam Fogg for amazing photos!
There are dozens of fun stories from our wedding adventure. We want you to us your stories, too! But let us begin with this one. We left the Villa in Amalfi with our packed suitcases, our presents, our parents . . . but forgot our own passports. First they tried to get them to the train in Salerno before we left for Venice, but it was too late. We then had them sent to a friend in Munich via UPS overnight but our driver likely diverted to a few beer tents at Oktoberfest and two days later, we had to leave on our mini-moon without them (fortunately we were staying in the EU). Good thing Jolica made copies, though, and we had our driver licenses. So we got to the secret place - Sardinia, Italy - home of the oldest living people. An amazing getaway in another walled-in city - Alghero! We didn't want to risk another UPS delayed delivery, so we decided to extend the mini-moon and go back to Munich and get them - bummer! We had a flight to Milan already scheduled before going home so we decided to spend an extra day in Milan, and then take the train to Chur, Switzerland. We got reprimanded by the customs guys for not having actually passports (Switzerland is not part of the EU), but played innocent with our paper copies and Hawaii drivers licenses and didn't get booted from the train. Nestled in the Swiss Alps with a 5,000-year history, Chur made a very romantic trip within a trip within a trip . Eventually we ran out of excuses to stay in Europe, returned to Munich, had a wonderful dinner with friends, and headed back. Thank you all again for being part of this wonderful experience . . . NOW TELL US SOME OF YOUR STORIES!
